Thorns (and Paladin's Retribution Aura) now dynamically updates its damage based on the caster's spell power instead of a static value, per Blizzard's official September 24, 2026 beta patch notes; if the caster is out of range the effect reverts to baseline. A related GitHub bug report about Feral Druids pre-buffing Thorns in caster gear was closed as 'not a bug'.
